Hello, I’m Gray
A designer currently based in the lovely state of Kansas. My work focuses on bold typography, bright colors, and a love for vintage aesthetics.
I’ve always had a strong imagination and a thirst for knowledge. I happened to be the annoying kid with the bright ideas who was always asking “why” and wanted to understand how every little thing works. With a background in design, marketing and advertising I’m passionate about collaborating with others to tackle challenges in creative and innovative ways. When I’m not craning my neck over a monitor, I can be found building lego models, lifting weights or enjoying the outdoors.
Credit where credit is due
None of my work is truly original, so here are some of the incredible artists who have inspired me.
Allan Peters
He taught me iteration until perfection. His drive to create design after design until a clean and beautiful icon is generated is nothing short of inspiring.
Aaron Draplin
Ok, but who doesn’t love Draplin. His sincere love for design is as palpable as microwaved fish in a confined office space. This, combined with his bold and eye-catching design language, makes for an unstoppable beast of beauty and creativity. From Draplin I’ve learned to be bold in my design language. To always push the envelope of how vibrant I can make a color or how thick I can make an outline.
Elliot Ulm
a.k.a Elliot is a Cool Guy, and to that I say, he absolutely is. I’m always impressed and inspired by the unique ways that he challenges layout and simplicity in his design.
Chris Do
An absolute legend in design and marketing, Chris taught me the true value of design and what the business side of the design world looks like.
Sean Kenny
An absolutely incredible artist who uses lego as his sculpting clay, Sean Kenny was one of my first artistic role models who continues to inspire me to this day. His use of strong silhouettes and strong bold colors combined with his unique use of lego create a unique and mesmerizing experience.
Kermit the Frog
Need I say more.
